Bhojanamritam brings together two programmes united by one conviction — that no one facing a crisis should also face hunger.

The story begins in 2011, when Swamiji Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa, passing by Indo American Cancer Hospital near our Banjara Hills temple, noticed patient attendants sitting by the roadside without a proper meal. He asked a simple question: our temple is so close by — why are we not feeding these people? That question became a programme. From one hospital, it grew to many. Today, practically every government hospital in Telangana is covered by HKMCF.

Alongside it, one more initiative was born from an equally simple conviction — that the farmers and hamalis who feed the nation deserve the dignity of a wholesome meal while they work.

Bhojanam is food. Amritam is nectar. For someone sitting outside a hospital ward at midnight, or a farmer on his feet since before sunrise, that is exactly what a meal becomes.
